I sell stuff online. I sell on a couple of places such as ebay.com, plunderhere.com, and eCrater.com. All can be wonderful. I had a large order placed from one of the sites. It happened to be an international order. When I called the company that supplies the tree air fresheners I sell, they told me it would be maxium $31 USD to ship to Scotland.
A day later I checked my statement and they had charged me almost $200 for shipping!! My bank account when negative by a couple of dollars because I wasn't expecting this. Luckily my bank didn't charge me a fee for this over draft. Also my supplier was able to fix their mistake and refund the extra money they charged me very quickly.
So then I join another program Melaleuca. They have WONDERFUL products. The fee to sign up had a special going in July, so I got in before it passed. Well, they charged my account the whole fee. Once again, my account when negative. This time my bank charged me a fee. I'm still waiting for the money to be placed back into my account, but Melaleuca has promised that it will be there and they will pay for my overdraft fee as well.
Argghhh. I wonder when this will end!!!

My Kids Won't Clean Their Room!!
so just a bit ago I got done cleaning it for them. I have been trying to get them to clean it for 4 days now. Usually they will at least straighten it up a bit. All of their toys are going to go to my husband's workplace, because he can store them their. They also keep telling me that they've hung up their clothes, or put them in their dresser. I found a heaping pile of clothes on their closet floor. I'm not sure they are dirty or clean or a mix of both, so they all have to be washed again.
I am getting tired of washing and washing their clothes, just to have to wash them again because instead of putting them away, they've thrown them on a heap on the floor. I told them that since they don't have toys, they will spend tomorrow hand-washing their clothes in the bathtub for something to do.
Please keep in mind, that just the 2 boys were part of this. They are almost 9 and 5. The baby was not a part of it, she has her own room.
Was I too harsh? Am I expecting too much of them? I gave them fair warning this afternoon, when I told them they needed to clean their room. I told them that if they didn't get it picked up, they would lose their toys until they could earn them back. We will set specific goals for them to be able to get their toys back.
What do you all do to get your kids to show a bit of responsibility?
Another Dog?
I swear there's a whole extra dog behind my refrigerator and probably one under my bed, as well. I don't know what it's doing back there, or how to get it to come out and stay out.
I have 3 dogs and they have LOTS of hair. They are Labrador retrievers. They go through shedding periods twice a year. My girl seems to shed excessively.
I vacuum and sweep everyday, but it's seems like it's a futile battle. What can I do to lure that extra dog out from behind the fridge? How can I get the one hiding under my bed to scram?

Son With ADHD Going Back To School In The Fall
My 8 year old son has always had a hard time in school. He is exceptionally bright, but he just cannot pay attention to a thing.
The school he went to in 2nd grade wasn't doing anything to help him to succeed. I begged them over and over to provide more communication with me, and to do whatever they could to help him at school, until I was able to get him to a doctor to find out if he had ADHD or not.
He got to the point where he was starting to fail a couple of his subjects. I never heard a thing about this until about 3 weeks before the end of the grading period. I was sent a sheet I had to sign. I called his teacher to ask her why he was failing. She said she wasn't sure.
She called me back and said he was failing because he wasn't doing extra homework he was supposed to have. I had no idea he had any extra homework, as it was not coming home in his backpack. I asked her why she didn't let me know this sooner, and she whined that she had 25 students and couldn't keep track of them all. Amazing.
I pulled him out of school that day. I home schooled him for the remainder of the year.
I finally got him in to see a psychologist. It took a bit of time, as there was a waiting list. After a long evaluation period and many tests, he was diagnosed with ADHD and given medicine. The medicine seems to have helped a lot.
He hasn't taken the medicine for a couple of months now. He like his social worker, but did not like the psychologist he was assigned to. I tried to get him an appointment with another one, but they never got back to me, even after repeated calls. They finally closed his case, because he hadn't been in to see anyone in so long.
He will be going back to school at the end of August. I am a very smart woman, but I do not feel I have enough tools and resources to give him a fulfilling education at home. I could make do, but I feel he will have many more opportunities if he goes to a regular school.
I am so scared that he will continue to fail. I do not know what to do to make sure he can succeed.

What was he thinking?
This morning my husband promised that I could sleep in. I love to sleep in. I haven't been able to do it for so long, it's not even funny. So, at 7:45 a.m. our daughter comes in to the bedroom, trying to wake me up. He tries to get her not to wake me up, by picking her up and trying to make her lay in the bed with us. Yeah, right. He should have known she wasn't going to go for that.
Finally, he gets her to calm down a bit, by just letting her sit on top of him while he's laying down. Great!!! I was on the verge of falling back asleep, almost in heavenly bliss, then....
RRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!
He passes the loudest, longest gas I have ever heard in my life. How the heck am I going to get any piece and quiet, if my husband is passing smelly gas right next to me. Gross. So, I get up out of the bed, and he can't figure out why.
What was he thinking?

Bridge to Terabithia
This movie is about a friendless boy, who is having trouble everywhere in life, is inspired and changed by the new girl at school, who teaches him the importance of fun and imagination.
I can't say much about this movie because it will spoil it. I watched it last night for the first time. It was completely not what I expected. I thought it would be like The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe, or like The Never Ending Story. I was not prepared for how it turned out. Both my husband and I were blubbering like babies at the end.
The actors weren't that great, but it was such a good movie. It'll bring back those lost memories of your childhood.
Please watch this movie, but be forewarned that it has a very sad ending.

The Last Mimzy
Two siblings begin to develop special talents after they find a mysterious box of toys. Soon the kids, their parents, and even their teacher are drawn into a strange new world and find a task ahead of them that is far more important than any of them could imagine!
We watched this movie last night. It was great. It was one of the cutest movies I've seen in a long time. The children were adorable. What they lacked in talent, they made up in cuteness. I would recommend this movie to any family with children. Even if you don't have children, I would definitely watch it.

Over & Over & Over
Why do children feel the need to repeat things over and over and over? Examples include: Opening & shutting doors, jumping on the dog(s), taking diapers off (but refusing to use the potty), trying to twirl my desk chair, trying to swim in the dog water, emptying all of the dog food onto the floor, etc. Do your children repeat certain things that are annoying?
Don't get me wrong. I love my kids, they're great. But, why can't they just play with their toys?
Why Can't I Sleep In?
My daughter was up before 7:30 am. Why? Why does she have to be on such an early schedule? I am a night owl myself. I've had about 5 hours of sleep. I'm tired, cranky, hungry. She is being especially naughty today, as well. She loves to run around and do whatever she is not supposed to.
Her name is Madison, and she is 2 and a half years old. Well, I guess she's almost 3. Her birthday is in September. She thinks she's the boss of the house and she has more attitude than anyone I've ever met.
Anyone got any good suggestions in getting her back in line?
